Biography

I, Marlene Baier, created Moxie Web Design in 1999 after several people in the Faculty of Nursing, University of Calgary asked me to create personal/business web sites for them. My first big client was Lawrence Gowan, renowned Canadian singer and songwriter, now a member of Styx. I have since created 60+ web sites and still administer many of them. |
I started off my 'web' career at the Faculty of Nursing having created their first web site when the UofC was just beginning to use the web as a media of communication. I left the university to complete the Computer Graphics & Dynamic Media – Web Based Diploma Program at Applied Multimedia Training Centres in Calgary. After graduation, I became the Web Master/Designer for Browarny Photographics of Calgary Alberta. My duties included designing and administration of client web sites, and providing computer technical support to colleagues.
I returned to the Faculty of Nursing to become their Technical/Web Coordinator: designing and maintaining the faculty web site, implementing new technologies, technical support, and a resource to the faculty as a whole. I left Calgary in 2007 and now dedicate my time to Web Design.
